Tanked

Two entries in one day? Well, color me productive. I'm just typing up some loose ends here...which sounds like some kind of bad knitting pun...no really, I'm just speaking idiomatically. Getting closure with the Summer in the City tank is what we'll call it.

Thanks Jenny for the Twenty-Second Knitalong. I so enjoyed seeing the fruits of your labors and now you can see mine in full frontal modeling shot

Headless shots are my favorite

Love the coral-colored pants from J. Crew that make this a really summery outfit. As I've extolled the virtues of this pattern before, I won't go into the gushy details, but suffice it to say, it was better than Cats. I'd see it again and again.

Speaking of cats, has anyone else seen Alf's new talk show on TVLAND? Here in our house, Alf's really big, so even though I only caught the tail end of it, I thought it was pretty funny. I'm really turned onto TVLAND recently as they have taken to showing one of my favorite oldies, The Addams Family, a fact I discovered after MasonDixon Ann reported a knitting sighting on the telly at her house. Read the comments to the Addams Family entry to discover more, including the lyrics to the theme song courtesy of MasonDixon Kay. Those girls are so kooky. But not altogether ooky. Or spooky, for that matter.

Now I'm about to embark on a secret project for a friend...I don't think she reads this blog, but she might. I'm very excited about the reasons why I'm knitting it for her, but since that too is to remain a secret, I'm going to hush up now before I give it away. So basically I can't tell you what I'm knitting, who it's for, or why I'm knitting it. Sorry to get your hopes up, people. Just have faith, grasshopper, that all of the answers are good ones and that you'll find out eventually. In the meantime, keep painting the fence whilst I try to snag this fly with my chopsticks.

Rachel, the tank looks GREAT!!! It fits you well, and what a great color. I'm proud of your crocheting, which turned out well!

i see right through your little secretive charade. you have a friend who is a tall, sleek, woolen-loving covert CIA operative, who has recently been reassigned to investigate KGB disruption of knitting patterns in the remote areas of alaska, which is why you must create fashionable yet functional yarn ensembles for the promotion of this friend's disguise and healthy body temperature. am i right, or am i right?

oh, and by the way, love the tank.
